This is one of the best half-day private tours we have to offer, combining a historical medieval village (Obidos), with a visit to a local winery, combined with a perfect wine tasting from a family-owned estate. Depart from Lisbon by 9AM or 2PM and visit the medieval village of Obidos, and its beautiful castle inside the walls, founded hundreds of years ago, combined with a visit to one of the best wineries in the region, founded in 1926 on a property from 1871.
During the day, we will have the opportunity to admire the beautiful landscape, to learn more about wine and cork production and also have a chance to visit a local winery and have a wine tasting at a local wine cellar.

Itinerary
The Obidos Castle and Medieval Village Half-Day Private Tour will show you one of most beautiful regions of Portugal, located 1h from Lisbon, famous for it’«s medieval walled village and castle, and where are produced some of the best local wines.. With the help of our private tour guide, we will show you most of the major sights of the area for around 5h duration. Although the itinerary can be adjusted during the day, this is the standard itinerary:
- Start the tour from Lisbon, Sintra or Cascais and head to Obidos (approx 1h00m drive)
- Arrive to Obidos and head to a local family-owned winery
- Visit to the winery, and learn about grapes, production and storing (1h)
- Wine tasting after the visit, of 7 different wines (30min)
- Depart to the medieval village of Obidos – 10min drive.
- Visit to the old vilalge of Obidos – 45min.
- Return to Lisbon, Sintra or Cascais after the visit.

- Flexible start and end time for cruise ship passengers and airport pick-ups, please advise before booking.
Drop-off
- Pick-up and drop-off can be provided at any Lisbon Hotel, Sintra or Cascais, including also cruise ship terminal and Lisbon Airport. This can be added during your booking (35E)
- Drop-off is scheduled after the tour, although it can be changed if you need to get back earlier – please advise before booking.

Our private guide will be your Ambassador/Host during the day, and English Fluent.
