Just less than 30min from Lisbon, this Sintra Private Full-Day Tour + Wine Cellar Tasting is the perfect option for wine lovers, that will put together a visit to the medieval village of Sintra, considered to be one of the most beautiful places in Europe, with its fairytale palaces and castles, with a wine tasting at a very old local wine cellar. We we also pass by the coast of Sintra, stopping for a visit at Cabo da Roca, the European Westernmost Point. At a very short distance from Lisbon, this is the perfect private day tour for you and your family.
You will also have the opportunity to visit the famous Pena National Palace, former Royal Palace, considered in 2015 by EBD the Most Beautiful Castle in Europe, built on the ruins of an old 16th century monastery, with also time to explore the historical medieval village of Sintra.

Although the itinerary can be adjusted during the day, this is the standard/suggested itinerary:
Arrive at Sintra around 9h45m and pass by the old village while heading up the hill to the Pena National Palace, the most visited attraction in Portugal – considered in 2015 by EBD the most beautiful castle of Europe – Amazing views overlooking the Moorish Castle
Visit inside Pena National Palace, former Royal Summer Residence of the Portuguese Kings (1h30m), with overlooking views towards the Moorish Castle and the countryside
Free time to explore the old medieval village of Sintra (45m)
Complimentary Port Wine Tasting at local shop (15m – Optional – subject to availability during peak season)
Stop for Lunch nearby the village (1h – meal not included)
Drive towards the coast for the wine cellar visit at the region of Colares (Sintra), stopping on the way by the exterior of Seteais Palace and Monserrate Palace (stop for pictures).
Wine tasting experience at local winery in Sintra, red and white, different ages (1h).
End the tour at the Westernmost Point of Europe, Cabo da Roca, one of the most important sights of Europe, end of the tour.
