We will cover the most important highlights of the city in two days, such as downtown area (Riverfront area, Cathedral, Sao Bento Train Station, Bulhao Market, Santa Catarina, Lello Library, Clerigos Tower, Jewish Quarter, and much more, including also a stop for lunch and a visit to Foz of Porto area, including Passeio Alegre, Boavista, Casa da Musica and much more. If wish to spend more than two days in Porto, please contact us for a different arrangement, with possible Douro Valley Tour also on the third day, before returning to Lisbon. This special private tour service will have a duration of approx 2 days, covering the old historical city of Porto, second most important city in Portugal. There is also a possibility of making one or two quick stops on the way to Porto or returning to Lisbon. Although the itinerary can have minor adjustments, here is the suggested route/itinerary:
DAY 1:
Departure available from your hotel in Lisbon at 8h45AM (flexible).
Start with a visit of the Jewish Quarter of Porto
Stops at Clerigos Tower and Lello Library
Visit to Bulhao Market and Santa Catarina famous district
Visit the most famous train station in Portugal, Sao Bento, famous for the 20.000 tiles
Visit Cathedral of Porto
Stop for lunch at local restaurant (meals not included)
End the tour with optional visit to Taylor’s Port Winery (not included)
Explore all riverfront area (Ribeira and Ponte Dom Luis)
End the tour with optional visit to Taylor’s Port Winery (not included)
DAY 2:
Start in the morning with a visit to boavista area, and stops at casa da Musica and Serralves
Optional visit to Palacio Cristal and Gardens.
Pass by Kadoorie Synagogue of Porto (guided visits inside are possible, subject to authorization)
Stop for lunch at local restaurant (meals not included)
Return to Lisbon after lunch, and make a possible stop on the way at Obidos or Nazare.

– We know plans can change and we accept changes to the original booking for another day, if we have availability, without any extra charge.
– In case the trip needs to be canceled/postponed/rescheduled, the customer will be able to use the FULL amount paid, which will be available as:
1) Full Refund, back into the same card used to book the tour;
2) Full amounts paid, to be used as a future credit, to be used within 10 years’ time with our company, for any tours booked.

* No show: no restitution / payment in full
* Tickets for Events or Attractions are non-refundable

* Cruise ship tours are 100% refundable anytime if for any reason cruise ship doesn’t dock in Lisbon.

Incredible Tour Guide
We booked a tour of Sintra, Pena Palace and the Golden Triangle through Sintra Magik. They were very accommodating of our scheduling needs. Diogo Costa was our private tour guide, and we found him to be awesome! He arrived at our hotel promptly at the scheduled time and had bottled water in his car for us through the day. He is a native of the Sintra area and intimately knowledgable of the entire area. Diogo has a very relaxed, congenial manner which made it easy and comfortable to spend the day with him. The pace of the trip was perfect and our guide was always considerate about having us see and do what we wanted. Diogo also arranged for us to have lunch at a wonderful place in Sintra. He called ahead so that the food would be ready and therefore optimize our sightseeing time. While he is Portuguese, his English language skills are impeccable. I would give Diogo Costa and Sintra Magik Tours my highest recommendation if you’re looking for a private tour.

The best part of our vacation
The best part of our vacation! We had an amazing guide Diogo. He was so knowledgeable and has such a love of his country it made us love Portugal and want to return as soon as possible. He had everything planned and we would have never seen any of the beautiful places without him. He coordinated an amazing Port tasting and a wonderful lunch during our day. He showed us beautiful places and shared their history. Thank you so much for creating an experience we will never forget!
Our party of 6 was picked up promptly at our hotel and whisked to Sintra while Rui/Roy provided an interesting historical context. As the Palace is very jammed with eager tourists, Rui did a great job in pulling us aside to continue with our history lesson so we didn’t feel like we were part of the great throng. He also created some lovely photo ops. The rest of the day — going to lunch, Cabo da Roca and Cascais for icecream was perfect as was the drive back to town along the coast. Rui was engaging and charming. It was a perfect day to go to Sintra. Thank you, Rui.

Perfect day trip to Sintra – Thanks Miguel
First time my partner and I had ever booked a private tour. Very, very glad that we did. Miguel was knowledgable about Sintra and the Lisbon area and simply an all round great guide – it was more like being shown around by a friend than a guide which really made the day that much more enjoyable.
