Golden Triangle Private Tour – Sintra, Cabo da Roca, Cascais

The Golden Triangle Private Tour is a comprehensive exploration of Sintra, our bestseller tour, and a place of regal splendor and historical significance, once the summer residence of Portuguese Kings. This tour also includes visits to Cabo da Roca, Europe’s westernmost point, and the charming villages of Cascais and Estoril. While the itinerary is flexible and can be adjusted on the day, the standard schedule is as follows:

• The tour starts with a departure from your hotel at 8:00 AM.
• Around 8:5AAM, you’ll arrive in Sintra and begin by passing through the old village before ascending the hill to the Pena National Palace, one of Portugal’s most visited attraction. CNN in 2019 acclaimed it as one of the most beautiful castles in the world, offering incredible views over the Moorish Castle.
• You’ll spend the next couple of hours exploring the Pena National Palace, grounds/gardens and interiors, from the former Royal Summer Residence, with panoramic views of the Moorish Castle and surrounding countryside.
• If arriving later in Sintra, for any reason, a visit to another palace can be arranged with your guide to avoid the crowds (Monserrate for example – no crowds).
• Head to the Old Town of Sintra, and have free time to explore the old medieval village of
• Stop for lunch near the village or along the coast of Sintra (1 hour – meal not included).
• The tour proceeds towards the coast, stopping at Cabo da Roca, located on Sintra’s coast, passing through beautiful Sintra roads.
• Visit the old fishing village of Cascais, driving past Guincho and along the stunning coastal road. Explore the fisherman village of Cascais.
• The tour concludes with a drive through Estoril, renowned during World War II as a hub for spies and the place where Ian Fleming found inspiration for 007 James Bond.
