This special private tour service will have a duration of 4 days, covering some of the most Jewish historical places in Portugal, such as Lisbon, Tomar, Belmonte and Castelo de Vide. Although the itinerary can have minor adjustments, here is the suggested route/itinerary:
- DAY 1 – Highlights of Jewish Lisbon and Historical Lisbon
On this first day we visit Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. We will start by a visit to the old part of the city (downtown), affected by the big earthquake of 1755, passing by Rossio, the Jewish Memorial, Sao Domingos Church. Head to Praça do Comercio (Commerce Square), stopping at the Santa Justa Elevator, and understanding the area where once existed one of the most important Jewish Quarters of the city. The visit will follow to Alfama, famous for the Lisbon Cathedral and the Jewish Quarter (Rua da Judiaria). In the afternoon, we continue to Belem, the famous district related with the Portuguese Discoveries, admire the Belem Tower, Jeronimos Monastery and Discovery Monument.

- DAY 2 – Tomar and Belmonte
On this second day, Departure from Lisbon to Tomar, visiting one of the most beautiful villages in Portugal, famous for Convent of Christ, the Jewish Quarter, and one of the oldest Synagogues in Portugal, the Tomar Synagogue, featuring the Abraham Zacuto Museum.
Stop for lunch and head to Belmonte, stopping on the way at Barragem (dam) of Castelo de Bode, one of the biggest artificial lakes in the country, and arrival at Belmonte around 6PM.. Overnight in Belmonte. Pick-up at your hotel in Lisbon and drop-off at your hotel in Belmonte included.

- DAY 3 – Belmonte and Castelo de Vide
Starting the day in Belmonte, one of the most important jewish communities still existing in the country, we will visit the 15th century castle, followed by the Jewish Museum, the Jewish Quarter and the Beth Eliahu Synagogue. Stop for lunch, and before heading to Castelo de Vide, visit the olive oil museum. Arrival at Castelo de Vide around 6PM. Overnight in Castelo de Vide. Pick-up at your hotel in Belmonte and drop-off at your hotel in Castelo de Vide included.

- DAY 4 – Castelo de Vide to Lisbon
In the morning we will visit Castelo de Vide and we will walk in the narrow streets of the Jewish Quarter with a visit to the fifteenth century Synagogue, the fountain and an iron workshop of the nineteenth century. After we will have a stop for free Lunch at typical local restaurant and then we will follow to visit the museum and the ruins of Ammaia the Roman town founded in the 1st century where archaeologists have found several traces of Jewish presence. Return to Lisbon after lunch and end of services around 6PM at your Lisbon Hotel. Overnight in Lisbon. Pick-up at your hotel in Castelo de Vide and drop-off at your hotel in Lisbon included.
